MOM’S FAMOUS CREAM PUFFS




 


Ingredients:


1 stick butter

1/2 cup water

1.25 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup flour

4 eggs

Mom's Famous Filling:


3/4 cup heavy cream

1 container (3.4 oz) easy vanilla pudding

1 cup milk

Instructions:


In a saucepan, combine butter, water, and vanilla extract. Bring to a boil.


Add flour and stir continuously until the mixture pulls away from the sides of the pot and forms a ball. Remove from heat and let cool.


Once cooled, beat in the eggs one at a time until fully combined.


Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the sheets.


Bake at 400°F (200°C) for about 40 minutes, or until golden brown.


Expert Tip: After baking, pierce each puff with a toothpick. Leave them in the oven with the door slightly open to cool. This helps prevent them from deflating.


Slice puffs in half and fill with Mom's Famous Filling. Optionally, drizzle with melted chocolate or dust with powdered sugar.

Beat heavy cream, vanilla pudding, and milk in a mixer until thickened.
